in the development, manufacturing and marketing of instruments and

has enjoyed a successful 45-year co-operation with the AO/ASIF,
the Association for the Study of Internal Fixation and now employs
over 3500 highly dedicated staff. |

well as distributing products under the Synthes brand name,
other activities also include new technologies such as biomaterials
and the latest spinal implants for disc arthroplasty.
Working
closely together with surgeons in hospitals all over the world,
the Synthes product development teams of scientists, engineers
and product managers identify real clinical needs. This collaboration
provides the basis for developing high-quality products with

with AO/ASIF, Synthes is committed to supporting surgeons and OR
staff with education programmes. Events range from major international
courses held in Davos, Switzerland, to much smaller events held
in local hospitals of all the countries where Synthes products are
